Named subscriptions and access key management for customers

Nadles is constantly improving user experience based on customer feedback. This post is about new features on the Nadles’ API consumer portal.

Named subscriptions

Sometimes your customers need to create several subscriptions to your API (e.g., for different departments inside the company) and label them with different names.

Nadles consumer portal has been updated to enable that:

Setting a name for subscription

If the name is set, it’s displayed on the customer dashboard and on the subscription page.

Dashboard:

The first subscription has a custom name set by the user

Access key management

Customers can now generate extra access keys for their subscriptions, as well as revoke the existing ones.

This is useful in case a key gets compromised or if several keys are needed for different teams/departments.

Issued access keys can also have names for better distinction.

API providers can set a limit on the maximum number of active access keys within one subscription to a specific product. This can be useful if you’d like to set different limits for different product tiers, e.g., fewer active keys on basic plans and more on premium.
