Custom Products for Partners

API providers often list their products in a public catalog so that anyone can subscribe. But sometimes, partners need something special — unique pricing, higher limits, or exclusive features. Nadles makes it easy to create custom products and onboard partners without exposing these offers to everyone.

Why Custom Products?

Custom products let you:

• Give select partners exclusive offers.
• Tailor product parameters to specific business relationships.
• Onboard partners quickly without creating unnecessary public plans.

Step 1: Create a Custom Product

You can either create a completely new product or clone an existing one.

To clone an existing product:

1. Go to the Products section in the API provider control panel.
2. Find the product you want to base your custom plan on.
3. Select Clone — this copies all settings, which you can then modify (price, limits, features, etc.).
4. Save your changes.

To create from scratch:

1. Go to Products → Create Product.
2. Fill in the product name, description, pricing, and any technical parameters.
3. Save.

Step 2: Onboard Your Partner

There are two different paths depending on whether the partner is already registered in your system.

Option A – Partner Already Registered

1. In the control panel, go to Subscriptions.
2. Locate the partner’s active subscription.
3. Click Upgrade subscription and select the newly created custom product.
4. Confirm the change — the partner will be switched to the new plan immediately.
5. Alternatively, generate an Upgrade Link:
   - Select the subscription.
   - Choose Create Upgrade Link.
   - Send this link to the partner — when they click it, they’ll confirm the switch themselves.

Option B – Partner Not Yet Registered

1. In the control panel, go to the Checkout Links section.
2. Select the custom product.
3. Set any pre-filled options you want (e.g., currency, billing period).
4. Generate the checkout link.
5. Share the link with the partner.
6. The partner clicks the link, registers, and completes the subscription in one flow.
